Description
Need a new shield?
Shield styles
3 different shield styles are available: flat, arched, and dome.
Flat: The shield presses against the labia. Best to remain invisible under clothing.
Arched: The shield is slightly arched to create a bit of space for the labia. When worn tight, there is less pressure on the labia and more on the side rails.
Dome: The dome creates a lot of space for the labia, which do not touch the shield anymore. No pressure on the labia, but more pressure on the side rails.
We do not have a recommended shield style, as the space needed/wanted for the labia and the resulting shield optics are individual.
Holes
You can choose the holes you want the shield to have.
Cleaning hole: Use a syringe to squirt water under the shield through this hole. Recommended for general cleaning purposes and long-time wear.
Ventilation holes: A couple of holes around the top of the vulva that allow some air circulation; high enough so that they should not cause pinching.
Drainage holes: For toilet usage, but not recommended. They run over the labia, may cause pinching depending on the style.
Our recommendation is the cleaning hole with or without the ventilation holes only.
How to measure
Please read the details about the measurements in the plastic shield part 1.
