This page explains our production lead times, how shipping works, and how international customs and import charges are handled. It is provided for information. The binding terms of sale are set out in our General Terms and Conditions, which apply to every order.<\/p>

1. Production Lead Time<\/b><\/h2>

Our products are made to order. The times below are production (manufacturing) times only and do not include shipping time. All times are indicative estimates and are not guaranteed dates.<\/p>

Typical production lead times by product category:<\/p>

  • Test kit: approximately [2] weeks.<\/li>
  • Chastity belt and single cage\/shield: approximately [12] weeks.<\/li>
  • Bondage and accessory products: approximately [2-4] weeks.<\/li>
  • Locking belt: approximately [2] weeks<\/li><\/ul>

    If production of an order is expected to take materially longer than the time indicated above, we will inform you. To allow us to focus on production, we kindly ask that you wait until the estimated lead time for your product has passed before contacting us for a status update \u2014 we are of course happy to help once that point is reached, or at any time if you have a specific concern.<\/p>

    2. Shipping and Delivery<\/b><\/h2>

    2.1 We ship with Swiss Post. For international deliveries, Swiss Post hands the parcel to a local delivery partner in the destination country for final delivery.<\/p>

    2.2 Indicative shipping times, measured from dispatch (not from the order date, which also includes the production lead time in Section 1):<\/p>

    • Within Switzerland: usually within 2 business days.<\/li>
    • Outside Switzerland: typically between 5 and around 15 business days, and sometimes longer, depending on the destination and on customs processing.<\/li><\/ul>

      2.3 Shipping times are estimates and depend on the carrier and on customs in the destination country, which are outside our control. We will use reasonable efforts to dispatch within the indicated timeframe, but we are not liable for a failure to meet an estimated shipping or delivery time. Estimated times are not guaranteed dates.<\/p>

      2.4 Completion of delivery. Delivery is completed when the products are delivered to the address stated in the order, or to an alternative location or collection point reasonably determined by the carrier in accordance with its delivery procedures. The passing of risk is governed by the General Terms and Conditions.<\/p>

      2.5 Once a parcel has been handed to the carrier, delivery is carried out by the carrier and its partners. We provide the documentation needed for smooth carriage and customs clearance, but beyond that we are not responsible for delays in transit or customs.<\/p>

      2.6 Tracking enquiries. A basic check on the whereabouts of a parcel can usually be made by us. Any more detailed investigation or formal enquiry is carried out by the carrier and often involves a fee charged by the carrier; any such fee, and any further shipping costs arising from a re-investigation, re-delivery or return, are borne by the customer. We are willing to assist with shipping concerns; the assistance we are able to provide depends on the circumstances and on the carrier\u2019s procedures.<\/p>

      3. Import Duties, Taxes and Customs Information<\/b><\/h2>

      3.1 International shipments may be subject to customs duties, import VAT and other charges imposed by the destination country. These charges are not included in the prices shown in the shop (which cover the product and the shipping fee only), except where we expressly ship on a Delivered Duty Paid basis (see Section 4).<\/p>

      3.2 Where charges are not prepaid by us, they are normally billed to the customer directly by the destination country\u2019s customs authority or the carrier \u2014 on delivery, on collection, or by a separate invoice issued some time after delivery. Such charges are the responsibility of the customer. The amount depends on the destination country and its rules; we are not able to state the exact percentage or amount that will apply in your country.<\/p>

      3.3 It is the customer\u2019s responsibility to check, before ordering, the import rules and likely charges in their own country. As a rough indication only, import duties commonly fall in the range of about 10% to 25% of the goods value, and can be higher, often plus a flat rate handling fee of e.g. 5 CHF. This is a general indication and not a figure we can confirm for any particular country.<\/p>

      3.4 Customs valuation. For customs purposes and proper accounting we declare the goods value as the price paid for the product.<\/p>

      3.5 Customs descriptions. We use the following declarations for international shipments:<\/p>

      • Test kit: declared as \u201c[plastic housing]\u201d \u2014 ([accessories of plastic \/ decorative plastic parts]).<\/li>
      • Chastity belt: declared as \u201c[custom decorative metal belt]\u201d \u2014 ([imitation jewellery of base metal]).<\/li>
      • Single cage\/shield: declared as \u201c[custom stainless steel housing]\u201d \u2014\u00a0 ([articles of iron or steel]).<\/li>
      • Bondage accessories: declared as “[custom decorative metal bracelet]” \u2014 ([imitation jewellery of base metal]).<\/li>
      • Locking belt: declared as “[belt]”.<\/li><\/ul>

        4. Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) and Destination-Specific Arrangements<\/b><\/h2>

        4.1 For some destinations we ship on a Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) basis, meaning the applicable import duties and taxes are arranged and prepaid through the carrier so that the customer does not have to pay them separately on delivery. Where DDP applies, this will be indicated during the ordering process.<\/p>

        4.2 United States<\/span>. <\/b>Orders shipped to the United States are sent on a Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) basis. Because United States import requirements for international shipments change frequently, we ask customers in the United States to contact us before placing an order, so that the order can be set up correctly for current requirements. The total shipping fees calculate as follows: standard shipping rate + 10 CHF DDP fee (flat rate by Swiss Post) + 15% tariff on total order value. Please note that none of these rates and fees go to kink-knack, and kink-knack does not have any influence on them.<\/p>

        5. Carrier and Tracking<\/b><\/h2>

        5.1 Most products are shipped with a tracking number, which is sent to the email address provided at the time of ordering, except the test kits and low-value items that can be sent in a letter.<\/p>

        5.2 Once a parcel has been dispatched and, where applicable, a tracking number provided, we cannot be held accountable for shipping or customs delays or for items that become undeliverable for reasons outside our control. If a parcel does not arrive after a tracking number has been provided, the customer should contact the carrier or its local delivery partner in their country of residence; we are willing to assist as described in Section 2.6.<\/p>
